The Onyx garden chairs are made from Social Plastic. This material is unique to Lifestyle Garden. Social Plastic is a Plastic Bank initiative that recycles waste material. The plastic waste is collected by those in the most vulnerable coastal communities in Asia.
In exchange, they receive tokens that help lift them out of poverty. The recovered waste plastic is then used by Lifestyle Garden to make the chair seats in its Nassau and Onyx garden furniture collections.
Solex Best Sustainable Product 2023
Lifestyle Garden’s Onyx garden dining chairs won the award for the best sustainable product 2023. This was awarded at the 2023 Solex summer outdoor living expo.
It’s the second win year-on-year for the Onyx range. It is the third year running that Lifestyle Garden has won a sustainability design award at the show; the previous year it won for its Nassau collection. We think it’s a wonderful added bonus to know that your garden furniture is a truly sustainable choice.

Lifestyle Garden has designed its Onyx collection to be a wonderful combination of great-looking design, sustainable materials and the utmost practicality.
The Onyx chairs are stackable for extra versatility and space-saving credentials. We love the wooden legs – it adds a Scandi design feel to the look of the chairs. The teak tabletop will need to be treated annually if you wish to maintain its golden hue. Alternatively, you can let the teak age naturally. If you choose to do this, the wood will take on a silvery finish over time.
